ILembe District Municipality launched the District Command Structure on April 2, 2020, which the District Mayor is its chairperson. During the launch of the District Command, it was agreed that the sector or cluster focus committee should be establish in order to ensure that the district is able to deal with all issues that emanates during the COVID 19 lockdown period and beyond.
